A little GMC history

The GMC name dates way back to the year 1900 when a couple of brothers named Max and Morris Grabowsky established the Grabowsky Motor Company. It became the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company that produced the first very basic commercial vehicle called the Rapid. The company that originally had the “GMC” initials was absorbed by General Motors Company in 1909 and today’s GMC trucks and SUVs have that durable heritage behind them.
